The exhibition gathered objects capable of symbolically and visually identify the period when they appeared. The French selection, made by Cedric Morisset, presented, among others, the Chaise Lounge LC4 by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand, the pressure cooker Cocotte-minute, the Bic pen, the Concorde airliner and the fruit juice squeezer Juicy Salif by Philippe Starck. The Brazilian selection made by Adélia Borges showed the Demoiselle airplane by Santos Dumont, the Poltrona Mole of Sergio Rodrigues, the sidewalks of Copacabana, redesigned by Roberto Burle Marx; Havaiana sandals, the Embraer Legacy aircraft and Melissa shoes by the Campana brothers, among others. There were 22 products of each country from the 20th and early 21st century. The exhibition aimed to explore the multiple dimensions that transform an object into an icon.
