The central part of the exhibition presented a chronological progression with one hundred seats, as chairs, lounge chairs, ottomans, benches and stools for different purposes. The route began in the 1910s, with the chair Patente, which marks the first effort of an industrial project for the piece of furniture, until the early 21st Century. Some chairs were available for visitors to sit down and thus experience different degrees of comfort provided by each. In addition to the pieces, the exhibition presented a broad panel of 43 meters in length, of anthropological approach, in which photos and texts exploring the symbolism related to the chair in the West and its importance in daily life in this sedentary society in which we live.
