Bringing together product, graphic, digital and environmental design, the selection favored projects showing how design is a multidisciplinary activity, which in some cases is on the threshold of visual arts, while in others it establishes a closer dialogue with engineering and with technology. If contemporaneity dilutes frontiers, design is by definition the activity in which they intertwine in projects where invention is put to a daily service and a better world for all. Ninety four designers were selected, with work produced in the first decade of the 21st century. One of the goals was to increase awareness of the general public about the scope and multidisciplinariety of design. Exhibition design by André Stolarski and Vasco Caldeira.
